How to get rid of a canker sore
*note: a canker sore is not a cold sore. Cold sores are herpes, canker sores are when a sharp piece of food cuts the inside of your cheek or tongue somewhere. Just wanted to clarify because some people don’t know the difference!
1. Obtain packet of salt. I find that In n’ Out salt works the best.
2. Wash your hands, especially if you are in a fast food restaurant getting the salt.
3. Pour half of salt packet contents into the palm of your hand. Lick the tip of a finger on your other hand; it doesn’t matter which one, so choose your favorite.
4. Dip finger into salt.
5. Apply salted finger to canker sore. It will sting and possibly make your eyes water, but I promise that it will be worth it.
6. Repeat until it doesn’t hurt so much, or you have developed a salty film in the area.
7. Follow process again, 2-3 times per day until canker sore is gone. It should be healed in less than 2 days!
